The Privacy Podcast by Miden explores the future of privacy, identity, and trust in a digital world being reshaped by blockchain and AI.

In a recent episode, host Ben Schiller interviewed François-Xavier Wicht, also known as FX, from the CRYPTO research group at the University of Bern.

They explored a new cryptographic approach called ephemeral coin tracing that introduces a cryptographic mechanism designed to better reconcile financial privacy with regulatory oversight than in past systems that permitted to trace coins. Its main novelty is to place limits on how far into the future the data from a particular transaction can be identified and attributed to the source.
